When the abstract world of data and digital innovations become conceptual art: Florian Dohmann, Manuel Urbanke and Maximilian Hoch – a creative trio from Germany – are pushing art to a new level. The three merge their expertise from different backgrounds into a one of a kind think tank: Florian Dohmann, Berlin based data scientist at The unbelievable Machine Company and the creative team Manuel and Max from Jung von Matt, produce critical and playful work that reflects the digital revolution we currently live in. In their upcoming TEDx talk, the three will speak about their latest art project: Datenmarkt. The first supermarket where customers could only pay with their personal Facebook data. Likes, comments, messages and photos for milk, bread and fruits. No money. No credit. Data as a currency. What did they experience during the week behind shelves? And does this project have the potential to be a realistic forecast for future ways of economic transactions? Find out at TEDxMünster 2014. – Talk in English
